WHY EARTHFEST CHOSE OUR ETHICAL BAR HIRE

Earthfest is a non profit multi day sustainability festival dedicated to showcasing climate action solutions. When organising a large scale eco festival at Kings Cross in London they needed a sustainable event bar that genuinely aligned with their environmental values. To ensure the lowest possible carbon footprint we curated the most climate friendly drinks menu in the world due to our premium ethical supply chain. Furthermore to support their mission and keep their upfront costs low we operated on a cash bar profit share model and donated 25% of our profits directly to the Camden Clean Air C.I.C.

CLIMATE FRIENDLY DRINKS MENU

For Earthfest, we curated the world's most climate friendly drinks menu. Guests enjoyed a premium range of zero waste, carbon negative and ethically sourced beverages:

COCKTAILS

Climate Friendly Mojito (Evrythng Rum & Funkin): We mixed sustainable rum from the Not For Profit Spirits Co who donate all their profits to climate solutions and nature conservation through the Shropshire Wildlife Trust. This was perfectly paired with B Corp certified Funkin mixers.

Carbon Reducing Colada (Koskenkorva Vodka & Funkin): Featuring Climate Action Vodka, the world's first vodka made from regenerative agriculture that actively pulls CO2 from the atmosphere. Shaken up with B Corp certified mixers.

Bee Friendly Bramble (Warner's Gin & Funkin): Crafted with an award winning B Corp gin that is sustainably produced using entirely renewable energy. The distillery sits on 5 acres of land providing a home for over a million bees and thousands of plant species. Warner's also supports The Wildlife Trust and is a 1% for the Planet member.

CHANGING LIVES,
ONE SHIFT AT A TIME

By choosing us for this festival Earthfest helped us provide professional hospitality employment for vulnerable staff members. Our team members often face significant barriers to employment but we believe talent is universal. That is why we actively employ individuals navigating homelessness, living with disabilities or rebuilding their lives after past convictions. For us a shift is not just about employment, it is a stepping stone to stability and the support they need to build a new future.

HOW THIS EVENT PLANTED A FOREST

To ensure the Earthfest festival was truly climate positive we planted a forest of 100 trees and protected 300 more from deforestation through our verified partnership with Ripple Africa. During the lifetime of these trees they will sequester 30 tonnes of CO2 which is the equivalent of driving 73,000 miles in an average car. This forest includes fruit trees that provide sustainable food and income for the local farming community.

GEORGINA, EARTHFEST PROGRAMME DIRECTOR

When organising Earthfest we needed an eco friendly mobile bar service that could handle a large scale festival while reflecting our deep environmental values. Better World Bar Hire delivered a fully sustainable event bar solution that enhanced our guest experience for all 10,000 attendees. The team curated the most climate friendly drinks menu possible and even operated on a profit share model to donate directly to the Camden Clean Air C.I.C. Their service was professional, polished and proved that you do not need to compromise on quality or speed to run a climate positive festival. I cannot recommend them enough for any brand looking to host a truly sustainable event.
